WindScape Brooklyn will host a family-friendly, hands-on learning event at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, inviting the community to explore how offshore wind will reshape New York’s waterfront. Visitors will be able to engage with WindScape’s interactive learning center, which will unpack the science behind wind turbine technology and highlight the history of wind energy and advocacy in Sunset Park. Families and children of all ages will be encouraged to join a Turbine-Building Workshop from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, available on a first-come, first-serve basis with registration at the front desk. The event will offer an engaging opportunity to learn, create, and experience the promise of clean energy along Brooklyn’s working waterfront.

In this webinar, Jim Bennett and Ian Voparil will draw from their decades of experience with Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and Shell, respectively, to discuss how America's offshore expertise gained from oil development is informing the responsible and effective development of offshore wind energy. This webinar is part of the Learning from the Experts series hosted by NYSERDA’s Offshore Wind Team and featuring experts in key offshore wind topics, including wind farm technologies, development practices, regulatory processes, and research initiatives.

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) will host Clean Energy Office Hours, a virtual information session designed for companies interested in New Jersey’s clean energy financing and incentive programs. This year, New Jersey Institute of Technology will proudly introduce the National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers Program (IUCRC) Center for Grid Enhancing Technologies for Offshore Wind Transmission and Integration (GOWIND) in its Planning Phase.
