As part of Female Energy’s “Uplifting & Educational Event Series,” this event will feature a discussion with Empire Wind’s Ashley Ball (Principal, Human Rights & Social Responsibility), Carlie Clarcq (Regulatory & Public Affairs) and Ashanti Storr (Marine Operations), as they provide insights on their experience and growth within offshore wind and the broader energy industry. Windscape Brooklyn: Educational Video Game Hour with MACAN!
Join WindScape and the Mid-Atlantic Coastal Acidification Network (MACAN) to test a new video game about coastal and ocean acidification. You can test a new, not yet publicly available video game on your computer, then provide your thoughts, which the developers will incorporate. Through this interactive game, you can learn more about acidification in the Mid-Atlantic and what you can do to help.
Saturday, May 2nd from 2 – 3 PM. Recommended for 6th-9th graders.
All you need is a computer or Chromebook to play. Please note this event will take place during WindScape Brooklyn’s 10 AM – 4 PM open public hours.

State of the Science on Offshore Energy, Wildlife, and Fisheries
The State of the Science on Offshore Energy, Wildlife, and Fisheries is a national convening hosted by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority on behalf of the Offshore Wind Environmental Technical Working Group and the Fisheries Technical Working Group. It will be bringing together researchers, Tribal representatives, regulators, industry, and conservation organizations to advance understanding of how offshore energy development intersects with marine wildlife and fisheries. Held at Stony Brook University on Long Island, the three-day conference focuses on building on a strong foundation by deepening scientific knowledge and identifying collaborative solutions that support responsible offshore energy development while protecting ecosystems and fishing communities, guided by a multidisciplinary scientific and organizing leadership committed to transparent, inclusive, and applied science.

2026 Climate Solutions Summit
The 2026 Climate Solutions Summit will ignite a regional conversation around energy and power—from the physics that energize our world to the social systems that determine how we live, work, and thrive.

The Maritime, Aviation, Offshore Wind, and Freight Logistics Career Awareness Fair is your chance to expose NYC public high school students to exciting careers in your field. Representatives from the transportation, aviation, energy, and freight logistics industries are encouraged to participate by sharing information about your organizations and skills and training needed for success in your industries.
